8 Nov 2010 - P4-P7 Focus on the Crocus
Pupils from P4 to P7 were busy planting more than a thousand purple crocuses at the Millfort Avenue entrance to our school today. They were donated by Lisburn Rotary Club to help raise the profile of their international campaign to eliminate Polio worldwide. The purple flowers represent the colour of ink dabbed on a child’s little finger to indicate they have been immunised against polio. We look forward to a swathe of colour next February!
